PTA Suspends IJ Internet Services License
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has suspended the license of IJ Internet Services (Pvt) Ltd for one month or until it clears outstanding dues. The action, taken under Section 23 of the Pakistan Telecommunication (Re-organization) Act, 1996, comes after the company failed to pay its Annual License Fee (ALF) for FY ending June 30, 2022, plus Late Payment Additional Fee (LPAF).

Despite repeated notices, reminders, and a Show Cause Notice, the licensee did not respond or attend the hearing. Holding a non exclusive license since August 2014 to operate Data Class Value Added Services, the company was required to submit audited accounts and pay its ALF within 120 days of fiscal year end. PTA warned that non-compliance during the suspension period will lead to permanent license termination. All telecom operators have been directed to cut services to the company until further notice.
