SUPARCO Says Safar Moon Sighting on July 25, 2025, Unlikely Due to Poor Visibility
Pakistan’s national space agency SUPARCO has warned that the crescent moon marking the beginning of Safar 1447 AH is unlikely to be sighted on July 25, 2025, citing monsoon-related cloud cover and unfavorable lunar positioning.
SUPARCO reiterated that both weather conditions and lunar angles are critical for successful moon sightings.
The agency advised the public to await the official announcement from the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, which will make the final decision based on regional sightings and expert input.
