The Punjab government has opened applications for the new cycle of the Honhaar Scholarship Program, empowering talented students from low-income families to pursue higher education without financial barriers. Announced by CM Maryam Nawaz, the initiative already supporting 50,000 students will now benefit 30,000 more across 68 academic disciplines, including MBBS and BDS. Prioritizing applicants under 22 with family incomes below Rs 3 lakh, the merit-based selection gives 30% weight to Matric marks and 70% to Intermediate marks. With the Honhaar portal live and university help desks ready, the program underscores Punjab’s commitment to equal opportunities, quality education, and nurturing future leaders.
