In a progressive stride for social equity, the Workers Welfare Board Sindh (WWBS) has rolled out a special Independence Day welfare package under its “Maaraka-e-Haq” celebrations, aimed at empowering women and industrial workers from minority communities. The initiative includes the distribution of electric scooters to boost mobility, independence, and economic participation, particularly for marginalized groups. Backed by a PKR 3 billion investment in SECP approved, Shariah compliant Sukuk bonds, WWBS is strengthening its financial base to expand welfare services for workers across the province. This forward looking move links sustainable transport solutions with broader goals of inclusivity, economic opportunity, and workplace equality, setting a strong precedent for socially responsible governance in Pakistan.
